John E. Houghton is responsible for database management at EnergyEast Corporation

Pittsford, NY, June 28, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John E. Houghton, Senior Database Analyst for EnergyEast Corporation, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in computer database management.

As Senior Database Analyst for EnergyEast Corporation, John E. Houghton is responsible for support of DB2 RDBMS in the mainframe and distributed UNIX environments, DATACOM RDBMS in the mainframe environment, MS SQL Server RDBMS in the Windows environment, and Oracle RDBMS in the UNIX environment. Mr. Houghton got his start in the industry after scoring well on an IBM test - he then became interested in programming, which later transitioned into a career in database management.

Mr. Houghton holds a Bachelor of Science in Education conferred by SUNY Potsdam in 1967. He is also certified in data processing through the Bryant & Stratton Business Institute and completed coursework in music education. He aspires to mentor other professionals through cross-training.
